Tips For Presenting

 

Please read on for a few tips to get the most out of your 5-minute presentation if local nonprofit has already been pre-approved.

 

Remember you will only have 5 minutes to make an impact!

 

You are welcome to use the questions below as a guideline.

 

It is helpful when presenting to talk about a specific project that the money would be used for.

 

 

Know the facts (because people will ask!):

  • What is the name of the organization? Where is it located?

  • Are they a local Northern Arizona recognized 501 (c)(3)? (This is required to be nominated)

  • How long has it been around?

  • What is their mission?

  • How does the organization benefit the local community? Whom do they serve?

  • How would the funds be used to benefit the community?

  • What is your relationship to the organization?

  • Who is responsible for discharging the funds? What are their administrative fees?

Tell your story:

Talk about your personal experience with the non-profit, or talk about why the organization matters to you. A personal story will help you connect with our members.

Discuss a specific project:

Defining a specific project helps members know what their dollars will be used for!
