Tips For Presenting
Please read on for a few tips to get the most out of your 5-minute presentation if local nonprofit has already been pre-approved.
Remember you will only have 5 minutes to make an impact!
You are welcome to use the questions below as a guideline.
It is helpful when presenting to talk about a specific project that the money would be used for.
Know the facts (because people will ask!):

What is the name of the organization? Where is it located?

Are they a local Northern Arizona recognized 501 (c)(3)? (This is required to be nominated)

How long has it been around?

What is their mission?

How does the organization benefit the local community? Whom do they serve?

How would the funds be used to benefit the community?

What is your relationship to the organization?

Who is responsible for discharging the funds? What are their administrative fees?
Tell your story:
Talk about your personal experience with the non-profit, or talk about why the organization matters to you. A personal story will help you connect with our members.
Discuss a specific project:
Defining a specific project helps members know what their dollars will be used for!
