Flagstaff Birth Support Fund $

The Flagstaff Birth Support Fund aims to reduce maternal-infant health inequities and disparities in Northern Arizona by improving birth outcomes, postpartum mental and physical health, and long term mental health for children.To provide low income and underserved families with access to the education, care and support they need during their pregnancies, labor and early parenting to nurture strong foundations that last a lifetime.  We partner with Flagstaff Doulas to provide these services to families.

Cancer Support Community Arizona in northern Arizona offers in-person programming in Flagstaff as well as virtual programs through the zoom platform.  These will include evidenced-based support groups, movement, therapeutic arts, health, nutrition, and education seminars. Programs are designed to boost your immune system, increase feelings of hope, control, and connection – ultimately improving your quality of life. Our services are always at no charge to those affected by cancer and their loved ones. This total includes the matching grant from the Richard M. Sacred Peaks Equine Sanctuary's purpose is to foster and rehabilitate horses rescued from the slaughter pipeline and raise awareness of the equine slaughter industry in the US. They promote adoption of horses at risk for slaughter and measures to reduce over- breeding of horses resulting in overpopulation and inhumane treatment of these special beings entrusted to our care. The Flagstaff Youth RiderS (FLYRS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Flagstaff, Arizona. FLYRS was founded in April 2016 to provide a structured and team-oriented approach to mountain biking for youth. We began small with a few families in the spring of 2016, and have grown each season as the interest has expanded, serving almost 300 youth in 2019. We are excited and honored to work with families in our community who share our passion for the outdoors and whose kids want to break out of the mold of traditional sports programs. FLYRS programs foster independent learning and accomplishment, as well as group-based comradery and encouragement.

Sara Morley was the driving force who kept Girls on the Run alive in northern Arizona by bringing it to North Country HealthCare, and her tireless work to better the program has led to the success we see today. Her spirit lives on in all of us, and is memorialized through this scholarship that will help support a young woman who participated in Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona as she takes the next step in activating her limitless potential—attending an educational program after high school.

Feeding Northern Arizona’s Future (FNAZF) is a 100% volunteer based non-profit which directly impacts children here in Flagstaff.  Currently between 1,500 and 2,000 elementary age students here in Flagstaff have little or no food on the weekends.  FNAZ provides food to the schools on Thursday to be put discreetly into the kid’s backpacks for the weekend.   The food bags have 6 meals and a few snacks.
